Alamosa, CO – On October 4, 2023 at approximately 1515 hours officers responded to a disturbance where possible shots were fired at the Mobile Century Home Park (1700 State Avenue). It is believed that an altercation took place where one male subject was shot. The male party who was shot was transported to SLV Health Regional Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and later released.
The other male party who is alleged to have discharged the firearm was taken into custody and transported to the Alamosa County Detention Center where he is being charged with First Degree Assault, Felony Menacing and Possession of a weapon by a previous offender. The suspect was identified as Lee Medina, 27 year old Alamosa resident. This was an isolated incident and detectives are actively investigating. There is no threat to the community at this time.
